The Unusual Suspect

She looked distraught while chatting. She was tense and was worrying so much as if her complete world had split into pieces. So I thought it was my Dharma to call her to find the trouble. As a nice citizen, I dialed her number.

Me: Hi, what has happened?
Her: Oh nothing, I am a little tensed.
Me: Why so?
Her: Someone has stolen my and my friend’s purse.

I thought ‘that’s it’ but I did not have courage to utter these words so bluntly. So I continued.
Me: Oh I am sorry, what has happened? Where did it happen? How much money did he steal?
Her: It was stolen from the office when I was having my lunch. Our drawers were open but no one was there when we went for lunch. It contained almost 2000 INR.

So much drama for 2000 INR, what the heck, but you cannot show your rude emotions while talking to girls.
Me: yar, this amount is not even good enough to take so much tension.
Her: Mr, It is almost 25% of my salary. So it is a huge amount for me.
Me: Okay then, why don't you go to the management and ask them to catch the culprits?
Her: It will not help and I do not want to ruin their lives.
Me: Are you mad?
Her: Why?
Me: You must take some action to catch the thieves so that they will be discouraged and they will not even think of repeating this in future. Your silence will provide them the courage to repeat this again.
Her: But management will fire them.
Me: Culprits must be punished.
Her: Okay, I will try something.

The discussion was over with her commitment though I was convinced that she would not do anything except sitting idle and hoping for a miracle to happen assuming "Someday someone would face the heat for their acts". Days passed so as weeks. It was almost a month when we talked last time and I almost forgotten the incident.

One day on chat she announced she almost found the culprit and would get her money back soon but she would not take any action once she gets her money back. I was curious and stunned. So I called her right away to know the details. I was sure the culprit must be a housekeeping personnel who does not get enough wages for survival.

Me: So how was the journey? What did you do?
Her: I went to HR to find out the Cash Card Numbers so that I can track them further.
Me: What are you talking? What cash cards?
Her: Arre, this person did not take any money from my purse. He took the cash cards which I got during some events conducted in my office.
Me: What the heck? You were so tense for gifted money.
Her: Yes, is there a problem? Do you want to listen or not?

I made faces as she would not see them but to calm her down I continued.
Me: Okay madam, go on.
Her: Once I got Card number from HR, then I thought to visit the stores which accept such cards. Luckily number of stores was less. First I went to Pantaloon and told them the complete situation and asked them if someone had used the card (with exact card number) there. I repeated this same stuff in 10 more stores with no luck. 12th store in the list was Life Style. I thought to try my luck there as well. So I went there and repeated my story 12th time. After completing the story I requested them to check their Database if someone had used those cards. It was quite a tough task to convince these store people to provide me such information. All of them resisted but a few checked and looked into their database. At Lifestyle it was easier to convince the people and found this information. They searched in the database and found the entry. Ladies stuff was bought using the cards and cards were signed by my senior person. I got the details of the shopping. Though I was not still convinced that my senior had stolen the cards and used them here but I had proofs. I looked at the list of items and remembered these items were purchased by my colleague, who sits next to my desk, and showed it to me 2 days after the theft.
Me: He He He, She showed those items to you.
Her: Yes, She did. I asked my senior if he had shopped from lifestyle in near past and as per my expectations he denied. I was sure who has taken the money. She who had stolen the money before going home. This is the same lady who was crying about losing her wallet when I told her about the theft. I called her and asked her. She denied again and again but I was sure. She told me "Sir had given her the cards and she had given him the equivalent money". I had reasons to invalidate her reasons on the spot. I told her, that I have reached the police and lodged a complaint against her. But she was still persistent in her denial. Now I am waiting for her to come back to office and then only I would be able to get my money back…
Me: Awesome!!!! Great work.

After few more days she pinged and told that the thief would come in couple of days.

This complete story is not all about the money that she had lost or she will recover. But it is more about the fight she had put to find the culprit and blacken her face.
I do not know the way to eradicate such activities from society but finding such culprits and showcasing their acts to others can help all of us. Along with that it will change the notion regarding people with lesser wages (As in my case I was sure that this some housekeeping person has stolen the purse.). My friend's work was appreciable and such incidents must inspire all of us to not sit back in such cases but instead we must take some actions to find the guilty and bring them to justice.

Perfume - A story of murderer

Perfume, A story of murderer, started with a lean and weak guy whose hands and legs were cuffed. The guy seemed in ease but the uproar outside the prison demonstrated the weirdness of the story. People were screaming, shouting, stoning. They were having axes, weapons and wooden articles to kill the culprit. Soon the Prisoner was brought in balcony among a higher uproar and shouting of giving him the instant capital punishment but his punishment was read to people there and narrator travels in the past to tell us his past.

A child was born with extra-ordinary capabilities that could smell good or bad, stench or perfume. He could recognize any scent irrespective of the distance of the source. He could smell dust, water, rock, stone, frog, iron, rotten rat and human body. There was not any smell which was hidden from him. Every day he encountered new smells and added them to the list of known smells without even knowing their source.

One day he smelled something extraordinary and became hysterical about it. He started looking the source of such marvelous smell. It was a gal. He followed her without following conducts and manners of society and under some unstated circumstances he managed to kill the gal. He did not stop here, like an animal he smelled her body without any notion of pain or fear in his eyes. He wanted to preserve this smell desperately but he was helpless.

Soon he found one old perfumer who might know the trick of preserving the smell. He created lots of new perfumes for the old perfumer and in return he asked oldie to teach him the way to preserve any smell. Old guy passed his trick to the protagonist but it did not suffice. With this trick the boy could not preserve the smell of iron, dust and animal body. So Old man suggested him to visit Rome city to learn other preserving mechanisms.

On the way to city, the boy realized he was odorless. He was different from people, living and non-living things. So he determined to find his own odor. He reached to the city and started finding new way of preserving the smell.

He found one and story of murders started from here. He killed one gal and tried preserving her smell but failed miserably in this technique. He learned another way and tried it on different gal and succeeded this time. Here started the spree of murders. Most 13 beautiful gals of the city were his victims and their smells were stored in different containers. Killer was merciless and inattentive and was committed to his duties. He worked like a messenger sent on earth to take beauties back to heavens.

With these 13 smells he created a perfume which was unique and exemplary; and he decided to use this perfume as his own odor and rest of the story should be kept secret.

I have tried my best to keep secrets; everything written above has an explanation in movie. I liked the movie a lot due to its unusual theme, direction, and pace of the movie. There was a sequence of 10 minutes which bored me a little but in all movie is must watch. At each step I was waiting for next step of the psychopath.

Curious case of Ramayana

In childhood we were refrained from arguing, criticizing or analyzing the incidents/stories illustrated or said or taught to us. We believed such stories/incidents with at most respect instead authenticating the roots of the story. Most of these stories were interesting and catchy for a raw mind and due to such impacting nature of these stories, these stories were settled in our mind.

Each childhood story had two extreme ends. Daemons, bad guy, who will try to rule the world in improper manners. These bad people will harm people, promote injustice in society and provoke many other inhumanly acts. At another end of the string was Gods, good guy, who will finish the daemon to restore justice, truth, and humanity. Almost 99% part of the stories would demonstrate devil power and at the end a God would overpower devils who were equipped with enormous powers.

In our childhood these stories were written to manipulate our trust, to exploit our fear and carelessness. Restrictions were imposed on us at the name of religion. We were blinded by the hot rod of religion.

Though I am not quite familiar with other stories but, thanks to television, incident of Ramayana and Mahabharata are quite fresh in my mind. As Mahabharata is quite near to realities (Human characteristics) so I am bringing up questions, related to Ramayana, which disturb me most of the times.

Why do we have Ramayana? Why was it composed altogether?
When Lord Vishnu wanted to kill Raavan, why did he not kill Raavan in the same way he killed other devils? Why did he not choose his fast forward incarnations to kill Ravana? Why did he choose a war which costed lot of lives, money and time? Whether it was Hiranyakashyap or Pritikshit, Vishnu reincarnated just for one day and saved the world just in one day. He killed Hiranyakashyap as a Narsimha, Pritikshit as Bona Pandit and he distributed Amrit as Mohini. Then why did he reincarnate as a normal human being to suffer from earthly pain to demolish another devil?

Did Ramayana justify Vishnu’s incarnation as a human?
Even Ram, rebirth of Vishnu, was a human being but writer could not justify it. He left many loopholes to show Ram more than a human. As per the author everything was well thought and well set before he could take first step on earth. Among many loop holes few were
1.     Hanuman was planned to meet Ram to assist him in his search.
2.     Sugreev was planned to roam around in forest so that he could meet Ram.
3.     Jamvant was assigned the task to enlighten Hanuman about his power.
4.     A traitor was sent to Ravana's home.
5.     Raavan was cursed to not touch any woman though he was allowed to drag any woman into his flying machine.
Do not you think, Ram did not live perfect human life. Gods, super Gods kept assisting him in each and every step. This incarnation can be termed as buggy as it did not depict Ram either God or human.

Assuming Vishnu reincarnated himself to depict the suffering of human being and to show case the right attitude/path/direction in adverse situations, there were few things which were not written@humanity front.

Why did Kaikayi chose 14 years for exile? Why did she not choose life time exile for Ram?
How did it help her cause? Did she want to see her son to sit on throne just for few specific years? Because she knew once Ram is back, he should be handed over the state's charge as he was eldest brother of all. Then she should have asked for lifelong exile to erase any possibility of dethroning his son.

Why did Ram let his father die?
Even though Dashrath did not accept Kaikayi's demand then why did Ram accept these demands? Even though Ram knew his father would die but he chose Rajput Dharma over his father. Which is prior? I think father, who has taken his care for years, should not be left behind to die.

Why did Ram take Sita with her?
Ram could have avoided Sita from his own suffering but he chose otherwise. Did he reduced his own suffering by taking her as a companion or was she 'hukm ka ikka' for God’s plan or was Ram weak enough to sustain the strain of forest?

Why Laxman?
Next comes Laxman who acceptable exile with no logical reasons without his own wife. First of all, why did he suffer the pain of forest? Why did he not take his wife along with Sita? She(Urmila) would have been Sita's better companion and Laxman would not have discarded from worldly pleasures.

Did Ram n company survived on vegetarian food in forest?
As per the Ramayana, Ram and company lived on fruits and roots during his exile. If it was true then why did Sita need the golden deer so desperately? Was not it another misconception or confusion created by interpreters here? Ram was kshtriya and he followed his Kshtriya path rigorously then why did he change his eating behavior?

Why did Ram kill Bali from a hidden place?
Why did not he face and kill him. Ramayana says Bali used to suck 50% strength of the opponent. Is this not the incorrect and unethical behavior? If this is the right human behaviour then we all, following Ramayana, should not care while deceiving someone else.

Why did they need to construct a bridge?
How much time would it have taken to construct the bridge on 100 miles? It was huge efforts and times involved. Why did Ram not take Hanuman’s help to carry all the monkeys by aerial route? It might have solved the issue faster.

Why did Ram ask Agni Pariksha from Sita?
Did we hindus not acknowledge it as a torture on females? Why was a female counterpart asked to prove herself? Ram also stayed few years away from her and knew lot of ladies in between, cannot someone(Any Pandit or Sita herself) ask him to prove himself. Was not it another display of disparity between 2 important genders of society?

On what grounds was Sita sent to forest again?
Once they moved back to Ayodhya, everything was perfectly fine. But one day one messenger saw a washer man cursing his wife and cursing Ram to accept Sita after living in some else’s house for so many years. After hearing this Ram decided to send his better half to Jungle. This incident created lot of questions in mind.
1.     Was this the first time someone had made such derogatory comment?
2.     Was messenger stupid enough to communicate this stupid comment to the emperor?
3.     Was not there any hierarchy where some intelligent people could refrain messenger from delivering such comment at the hour of washer man’s rage?
4.     Was it necessary to keep public and private life so open to world or Was Ram not able to convince himself about purity of his own wife?
5.     Was Ram looking for some chance to throw his dear wife away because she was a dirty spot in his public image?
Possibly there may be not any of the reason but is not this something which made you rethink about the condition of female protagonist. She had faced all the adversity of the world and still she never got chance to live her as an empress. Was this the right attitude toward a specific gender in Ram Rajya?

Significance and process of Ashvamedha yagna has been altered in Ramayana. As per the other information available this yagna was to sacrifice the horse after completion of the yagna whereas our altered epic tells about releasing the horse after yagna is completed.

Anyways I am not saying every story needs to be perfect without any humanly mistakes but when a story has such a huge significance then it has to be nearly perfect, otherwise society may lead to wrong directions. We should question our epics to make them better and bring them next to perfect. When epics were written they were perfect, then they evolved, modified, tweaked and currently we are following the tweaked versions of those stories. Let’s put across our questions and try to achieve the near perfect epic back to stores.

PS: This blog is medium to understand some mysterious circumstances or find answers of unasked questions, Influencing or hurting religious sentiments are not the intentions here.
PS1: Deepika Ji was my favourite actress at the time of Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan.

Heart Beats of India - Trains @ Indian Railways

Indian Railways, Department undertaking of GOI overseen by the Ministry of Railways, has 113,617 Kms tracks and 7083 stations spread across the Indian subcontinent. 30 million passengers use IR everyday and 1.36M employees work for it. It is the 4th largest railway network in the world. It was one among the few positives of the East India Company. Britons proposed railway network in 1832 and since then it has been serving the masses of India. IR trains have been the most convenient transportation medium for people in India.

Indian Railways' success should be attributed to its relationship with all categories of our society. Most of us travel with Indian Railways in different sorts of compartments. A train, part of IR, contains five sorts of compartments. General bogie, a mean to travel cheap economically, physically and mentally, is for poor people. People having meager pays choose general compartments to travel. Sleeper class is meant for middle-poor class. People of this class enjoy restricted luxury (A sound sleep in natural air instead of AC). 3rd Tier AC compartment is used by people who wish to pay additional money to travel in a hassle-free environment. These compartments are generally filled by middle class or salaried class families. Next class of compartments are the 2nd tier AC, which are filled with middle-rich family. Last but not the least, 1st tier AC compartments are filled with rich and elite people of India. Apart from all these compartments, trains run with one of the most important compartment i.e. the pantry which provides tasty food (We all love it, is not it?) for all the people traveling.

Every train journey is a unique experience. These experiences are sometimes sweet, neutral at times and bitter rest of the times, better to say most of the times. Overwhelming chaos, chattering, pollution, and huge crowd, across all the stations, trains and ticketing windows, make the travel inconvenient and painful.

I have traveled in 3 types of compartments i.e. 3rd AC, Sleeper and General and based on my past experiences I may not like to travel in general compartments (most inconvenient) any more but I feel these are the most lively compartments. I know it is childish but there are solid reasons supporting my childish statement.

AC compartments are reserved by people who have some etiquette and reservations. Either People, traveling in these compartments, do not wish to talk or their discussions are way far from understanding of a common man. Things that interest them, i.e. economy, history, books, and jobs, do not flatter a common man.

People, in AC compartments, do not like intruders who can be problematic to the comfort so they keep their mind clear of not sharing the seats with anyone else. Along with all these comforts if you are lucky, then you can find some girls sitting next to your seat without their parents. So all in all AC compartments provide hassle free travel with few boring people. If you want to spend 24 hours in boring travel then be it's guest and pray to god to not hitting a seat next to few uncles and aunts.

Sleeper class receives people who are stuck due to non-availability of either tickets or money. When these two ends(Less Ameer and Less garib) end up sharing the same compartment then it takes plenty of time to break the ice. In sleeper class discussions are not as boring as in AC. People in sleeper class talk about sports, movies, songs, religions and superstitions. Cricket is ever green and the most discussed topic over here. Religions and superstitions are the second most discussed topic there. People share stories about ghosts, bad dreams and temples where blood thirsty souls find peace. Discussion about films and songs are rear and limited to young people. People in these compartments do not discourage intruders much and share their own seats with these intruders. All in all sleeper class is neither much interesting nor much convenient.

Let’s talk about the most evergreen, lively, and interesting compartments of a train. General bogie reflects most of the India. It has people who belong to different social statuses, castes, religions, and regions. These people try to figure out a way to make their journey a little better for the people who are suffering most. People in these compartments have the appetite to accommodate passengers 2-3 times of its original capacity. There is a fight for everything. Sometimes to enter the compartment; Sometimes to save yourself from falling back; sometimes not able to balance the body on one toe; Sometime to settle  at gate; Sometimes to escape from sharing the bench with four additional passengers. Toilets in the general compartments are additional incentives on top of all other human problems.

Even after so many problems, these compartments are the most entertaining compartments of the train. People are not sophisticated, knowledgeable and literate much but they are curious. They do not talk about businesses, sports, films, money and economics. They talk about dances (Some chammak challo dance in some movie), salvation, love, girls, families, ghosts, problems, travels and places. Most of the discussions primarily revolve around human characteristics which anyone and everyone can understand. Striking the chords with anyone is simple. Within 5-6 hours you will know all about a person's family, business, and reason of traveling, receiver at platform, return date and lot more.

I remember a small conversation between a sage and few fellow passengers. The sage was dragging shots from his chillam and he was releasing the smoke in the compartment. One guy got frustrated and started confronting the saint, whereas few others joined to wrestle with Shiv devotee saint.

Guy 1: Bharat mein sadhu banke bas ganja peena hi dharm ho gaya hai, sharm to ati nahi. (In India, Sage do not have anything to do other than dragging, shameless people.)
Sadhu: Yeh to sambhu ka Prasad hai beta, beta ek baar pi fir dekh tujhe khud bhole dikhenge. (It is Shankar bhagwan's prasadam, try it and you will find him.)
Guy 2: Han baba sahi bol rahe ho. Apka to koi dharm nahi hamara bhi bhrast kar rahe ho.(Yeah, yeah, you do not follow any religion, but do not spoil us)
Sage: Sambhu peete hain, yeh to Moksha ka darwaja hai beta. (It is way to salvation.)
Guy1: Baba, moksha ise peene se milta to sab tum jaise ho gaye hote. (That is why you are here waiting for salvation.)
Sage: Beta moksha aise hi milege. (Accept it, it is the only way to meet Shiva.)

The conversation which was started to persuade the sadhu but did not end and it kept changing paths from one to another character/god. The Sadhu and passengers started discussing moh, maya, ramayan, and mahabharat. It looked like entire wisdom of the world was resting next to my seat. All of a sudden people, who were behaving like retards (before settling down), started behaving professors of philosophy, mythology and history. Everyone started telling truths of the world.

Now you know why general class is great and interesting. People facing so many problems get the time to laugh, share and advice. To watch the real face of India, travel in general compartment for once in life time. You will realize the beauty and beast of railways. If you are lucky these people will persuade you to join sanyaas as well ;)

A comparison between Changing Job and Finding Biwi

Interview is a process to judge the capabilities of an individual/group. An interview, an Interaction among two or more individuals, provides an opportunity for the interviewers to assess the caliber of the interviewee. Though this assessment might base up on different criterion but final judgment communicates the perception of interviewer regarding interviewee's capabilities with respect to the new responsibilities. During the same interview process the interviewee also creates his perception about future prospects. So F2F interview provides a fair chance to both the sides to decide their future path.

Oops, where am I heading and do not know why did I leave this philosophy/gyan shit stinking the post? Dude I am not going to dictate "10 AGELESS PRINCIPLES TO SUCCEED IN AN INTERVIEW". We all have faced it and we all work to overcome the shortcomings of previous interviews while preparing for the next. I am here to talk about the two unavoidable and important categories of interview e.g., Job and Marriage interviews.

These two types have a lot of similarities and lot of differences with each other. Both of these interviews have affects prior and later to the interview. For better results every interview needs a specific preparation beforehand, whereas a successful interview leads to the surges of unwanted events and scary consequences.

As I was saying, for both the interviews we need to prepare in a different manner. For Job interview mug up fundamentals of one language which may be either Java, C, C++ or others, Learn something more to show other areas where you might have worked for an hour throughout your career e.g., Ant, Maven, You must learn to lie because interviewer asks "Why do you want to join us?" and believe me they will kick your ass out if you tell them the truth and last but not least mug up some stupid company information e.g., Who was the last CEO of the company and what was his most recent achievement (When I heard this question, I thought did he something similar to Mark Hudd, HP CEO, caught red handed with his secretary)? Preparations for the marriage interviews are different.  Call your dad/mom and ask him/her answer of all the already compiled questions. Visit to nearest and costliest parlour and try to put lot of cream to make your face fairer which might in turn increase your cost in marriage market. Go to cheapest saloon to get new hair style so that no one can recognize you if they have seen you whistle before. You need to learn the fake smile, gals have to learn to wear high heal sandals and sometime sarees as well, learn to speak truth (;) Optional, as people say "Har rishta Sachchai ki Neev par khada ho to jyada acha hai") and nod for all the answers like do you know cooking, sewing and stupider stuff. After such extraordinary preparations you cannot fail in any of the interview.

After giving so many job interviews and marriage I could list down few of the similarities and differences between both. First effect of successful job Interview is the starting of career, on the same line first successful marriage interview starts another life. Job interview makes you a slave for an organization whereas after marriage you wag the tail in-front of your spouse. Slavery to an organization makes you richer every last day of month whereas slavery to spouse makes you poorer every day. :(

Even if you choose wrong organization, you can try again to find another job but after marriage there are no chances of changing the decision or finding the new guy/gal again. Among of the few of the seen scenario one scenario is this. If you are divorcee and you are searching for a gal then all the aunties in city will gather in a temple to gossip about you.
Aunt 1 - Haaaaaaaaaa, Kaisa Jamana aa gaya hai? (See the world!!!!!!!!)
Aunt 2 - Haaaannnn, Dekho na, Arkit ne pehli biwi ko 3 saal pahle hi talaak diya hai n fir se ladki dhundh raha hai? (Arkit divorced his wife just 36 months before and he is again searching for a gal?)
Aunt 3 - Biwi to sundar thi Arkit ki (His wife was beautiful.)
Aunt 4 - Maarta bahut tha Arkit use. (Arkit used to hit her.)
Though Arkit and his wife were split as their love was more for their colleague than each other’s but these aunties proved Arkit a devil and made sure he would die without marrying again. Top of that they could comment ludicrously on his Dhalti Jawani.

Beside If you divorce at your own will, then you have to pay half of your money; hard earned money.

Next common thing between both is Role of mediator. Most of Job Interviews are arranged by Consultants whereas relatives assist in marriage interview. At the time of Job Interview, you wish consultant (If she is hot) should sit next to you whereas at marriage interviews you wish to sit alone with the girl. Consultants cannot change the course of Job Interviews but relatives can change the complete equations. They can affect your decision, dowry, and many other related things. Basic and most important fact comes later. After six months of job consultants call you back to ask if I mind changing my job again where as Relatives do not even mind calling you ever in life.

Both the interviews start with the same question. Tell me something about yourself. You can choose either to answer it or to shoot a question back. What should I tell (Sometimes I think to ask back; well do not you have CV with you?)? In Job interviews this would mean to elaborate your professional experience whereas in marriage interviews it would mean to tell your height, your size, your weight and exact birth date including seconds and mili-seconds along with location of birth with labor room report in details.

In both interviews selection criterion is salary. Salary decides final payment at both places. If you are fetching good salary then you will attract less number of employers willing to employ you whereas you will attract more number of parents willing to choose. Job interview will be more drilling to validate your worthiness whereas guardians instantaneously will acknowledge the worth of money. Along with that Private employers do not want to employ government employee so easily whereas parents looking for security worth government employee over private IT software engineers.

Both the places you will fail if you start arguing. "Interviewer is always right so do not argue with him" is the dumbest but most effective rule of interview. I try finding reason behind this saying. My research suggests In Job interview it is followed to make sure new employee should not change existing rules and regulations and in some time he will forget his own rules where as in marriages, couple should be taught to refrain from discussion to induce longevity in so called happy married life.

Both interviews provide the chance of choosing. You can have 4-5 jobs at a time and later deny all but one. But in case of spouse, you do not have the option of engaging with 4-5 gals/guys and choose one later. If it would have been possible than Life would have been much easier. I would have been searching for spouse for last seven years ;).

As I am novice to marriage interview business, so i might have missed few of the important points but I will try adding more as my experience nurtures with time. As I was saying there are lots other after effects of interviews. Do not you think those are obvious to envision? After marriage, guys just listen and girls speak whereas after joining the company, employer sucks your blood and you crib about employer's blood sucking techniques.

That is all I could find about interview e.g., Job and marriage. I know there are folks who are more experienced than I. Let's share and make the world more livable ;) ;)

IT people v/s Suicidal Farmers

Couple of weeks back THE Hindu, Only Newspaper I love reading, published an article written by an IT engineer. This article was written to inflate the reputation of IT engineers and break the myths regarding IT engineers among other segments of society.

This article was written to avenge another article which was demonstrating situation of farmers in India. Previous article's author had compared the salary of IT individual with the meager loan amount which compelled a farmer to end his life. IT engineer was sad with this comparison and he/she did not want people to make such in-significant and imperialistic comparisons in future. According to him/her
There was a sarcastic comment too: ‘This is equivalent to an IT couple's one month salary.' As a professional working in the IT industry for the past seven years, I was deeply saddened by that comment.

In rest of the article I will choose few points mentioned and try to put across my thoughts.

At the start writer has reasoned out the AC's requirement in IT offices. I think, Truth about Air Conditioned has been cut short to half by the writer. Our work places are equipped with Air Conditioned to protect computers and processors from overheating, Is this truth? All organizations have server rooms to keep fire spitting machines which are kept far away from humans. These servers rooms possess highly sophisticated cooling machines to tame dragon's fire. All of us use laptops and desktops at home and none of the machines, at home, explode without AC. It means, the whole premises does not need air conditioner. But it is really impossible to accept the truth so easily. Whether it is cafeteria, recreation room, gym, reception and meeting room all are equipped with the AC. If AC is not working due to any unprecedented condition our anger shoots up to seventh sky and we find someone to punish for the unknown crime. A farmer, who plows the farm in June, can not even expect a nice cold breeze. For him there are no options provided but to dare the sun otherwise entire year starvation will dare him. Why can not we people accept the impossibility of surviving without AC, instead giving excuses?

Next Working Hours for IT people have been called painful. I understand the definition of pain changes along with individual but there is a general consensus for pain which applies to each of us. Does sitting in front of computer, chatting with friends, cribbing about one chick or other, playing games and more unimportant tasks amalgamated with fewer important work related tasks amount to huge pain? Ask a labour what do 8 working hours mean for him. Ask a guy what does it mean to throw coal in furnace for 8 hours. Ask a farmer what pain means at the time of plowing the field or cutting crop. Ask a shopkeeper who open his shop at 8 AM and closes at 9PM. When people work for 14 hours everyday without even having rightful breaks on weekends than how can we be in more pain than others.

IT people were sacked during recession. Why? People working in IT and finance were the clear targets as their bank balance had increased exponentially in last couple of years. But recession not only impacted IT, every segment of society was facing recession's catastrophic results. During recession farmers could not sell the crop on its actual amount, which drowned them under debts. On top of cyclic recession, a farmer faces yearly monstrous natural calamities. Excessive rain, no rain, storms, worms, excessive heat, animals, cattle, drought and many other things can ruin the standing crop. Decision of providing the subsidy depends upon the need of person. Government can not provide subsidy to own 5 cars and 5 flats in a posh area.

Job Security is biggest concern for us and our perks are decided based on our performance. But you know what, a farmer's perks are decided based on land and its fertile power and God's wish. Even after all his efforts he might not earn enough to feed his kids throughout the year. If anything goes wrong during the 365 days of the year, his kids will not go to school and sleep without a meal. Here nobody will evaluate the hard work, labour and performance of the farmer, only thing which will amount in deciding farmers bank account is calamities.

IT people have purchasing power, does not it mean we are increasing inflation by reducing the value of money? Autowalah expect higher fare from a needy and poor guy, because he will get an IT engineer who will fulfill his unjustified money demands.

There were numerous more points, which were written but I can not keep going about each and every point there. But we need to understand Committing suicide is not so simple. Nobody wants to commit a suicide, but when there is no door leading to sunshine, then darkness consumes you. It is true we should not compare 2 different fields which are not correlated but if someone has made a mistake then we should not blast someone's emotions without understanding the situation of concerned individuals and on top of all still we IT folks are  in good white collar job and if we could just look at the other sectors we have no right to crib about our work.

Need help??? People are here to help

At the beginning of NCR life, lot of things were either difficult or confusing to understand. One among such things was Metro travel. Though Metro has reduced Traveling chaos in NCR but it is little confusing for a guy who is new to Metro System. At the start I had traveled miles more than required, got down at wrong stations and boarded opposite direction trains. One such confusing day, I was traveling in Metro. Though path was repeated number of times to me but I was not still sure if I had grasped all the instructions. So in middle of journey I thought of confirming if I have boarded the right train and I fired a question in Air. "Noida Sector 62 ke liye kaise jana hai?" (How can I reach to Noida Sector 62?).

What the hell man, I did not ask anyone and according to my prior experiences people had stared at me as though I was talking to ghosts and aliens. As soon as I realized my mistake, I tried regaining my lost reputation. But as though it was not required, I heard a voice.

One aged man heard my questions and suggested me the path. He told "Beta, tum to ulti direction mein aa gaye ho, Agle Station par utar jana, vahan se rajiv chawk vapis jakar, upar chale jana aur vahan se Noida city center ki metro mein baith jana". (Get down at next stop, return to Rajiv Chawk and from Rajiv Chawk take a blue line metro to Noida city center").

Another socialite person, who wanted to help but missed opportunity with fraction of second, pitched in. Instead of repeating same words he used his refined English dictionary. "Dude, you need to get down at next stop and catch a metro to reach CP (Me thinking: CP, CP, CP, Oops may be some Common Platform?). From CP you should board Blue Line metro which will end at Noida City Center. After coming out of station you can hire an auto to reach Sector 62".

As soon as MR gentle man stopped one more guy, who was little lazy in previous two instances, started "Nahi nahi, vahan se personal auto karne ki koi jarurat nahi, shared auto ten rs mein pahuncha denge sector 62. (No need to hire a private vehicle, you can catch a shared auto and reach to sector 62 just in ten rs."). It triggered an unhealthy discussion on important topic "Should I hire an auto or not?". After five minutes of discussion I figured out "I have to get down at Next station".

This is general tendency in North. Here people are waiting to unrest face muscles where as solving issues are less important than debating on them.

Whereas in southern part of India such things are tackled in different manner. One such incident happened just few days back.

I was looking for new job and some of my interviewing organizations were situated in less populated and less known areas. One such tiring day, I was able to locate the area but it was nearly impossible to find the building with the directions given. There were not much hustle bustle. One aged man was walking in front of me and he was the only hope to me. As per my best etiquattes I fired my question in air but loud call dint make any effect to the old man(No No, he dint have any hearing Aids). Disappointed me, walked little faster and reached to him.

I said "Excuse me sir?" Now this guy stopped and gave me a puzzled look (Hmmm, North Indianaaaa...). "Sir Do you know where is RMZ tech icon?" He stared at me as I was speaking in chinease.
He said "Englishaaa, English illa. Kannada, Tamil or Telugu?"(I do not know English, do you know Telugu, Kannada, Tamil?)
I replied "Kannada, Tamil, Telugu gotilla (I do not know Tamil, Telugu and Kannada...)"
He said "gotilla, Kannada... u illa Kannada".(Gottila is kannada word, how can you say, you dont know kannada?)
I said "I know only Gotilla, Hindi ati hain kya aapko? (I just know gottila, Do you know Hindi)."
He said "Hindi Kunchum Kunchum"
Oops, I was not interested to know tollywood actors names.
I said "No sir, Do you know Hindi?"
He said "Han, Hindi Kunchum Kunchum"
I said "What Kunchum Kunchuma?"
Now he used sign language to suggest me he knows Hindi a little. (Kunchum means a little in Sanskrit and in other south Indian languages).

I asked if he knew building. He did not have any clue about it but he took ample time to consult few more folks before sending me in building's opposite direction. He helped but it costed me a walk to remember.

But never mind, parts of India does not matter people help. Few replies on call whereas few catches and respond. North to South, everyone of us has same Indian heart and I am proud of this.

Movies which impact.

Just now I finished watching No One Killed Jessica. Movie is based on a sequence of real life events. Jessica, a model who was killed in a high society party by minister's son, was denied the justice first and later due to Media interruption case was reopened and spoiled son was sent to prison.

As a reviewer I would say, Both the stars(Rani and Vidhya) acted well, things were dramatized but not over, female protagonists used more slang than required, and English was overly used overlooking common men who have a couple of words in their English. But beside all these facts movie was worth to invest my two hours in it. At times I was totally into movie, into conversations, into its dialogues. Apart from few junctions director moved the story pretty well. Both the actor did justice to their roles.

When a movie is spiced up, you can go, watch, eat and return to home without scratching your head. Whereas when a movie raises concerns, points out issues and suggests changes, which relates to either us or system or environment, then those concerns, issues and changes make us to brainstorm for unanswerable questions. Yeah well, people come out of such movies without bringing those demons out of theater hall but for me leaving those takes ample time.

In the past, Bollywood has really moved. It has produced number of movies which were not left while coming out theater. Welcome to Sajjanpur, Rang De Basanti, Wel done Abba, Black Friday, Rann, Striker, Love Sex aur Dhokha, City of Gold, Rajneeti, Red Alert: The War Within, Lamhaa, Once Upon a Time in Mumbai, Peepli Live, Do Dooni Chaar, Firaaq and many other movies in last two or three years which took social enigma at the center stage and tried pointing out problems in different manners. Either they have taken the comedy route, serious tone or dramatized form of problem but all of them posed questions about society and system to us.

Welcome to Sajjanpur is based on rural social issues, which narrates the difference among various social segments and people. Rang De Basanti, is all about youth who want a change but change came at the cost of their own lives. Well done abba is about corruption in rural India. Black Friday, Story of burning Mumbai and its inhabitants after 1993 bomb blasts. Rann exposes a corrupt Media institution which creates and manipulates the news. Striker screens the changes in life of a player after riots in Bombay. City of Gold narrates the story of corrupt ministers and their relation with gangsters based in Maharastra. Each of these above mentioned movies were not just two people story or a family drama but these were screening sufferings, corruption, social problems and lot more.

No one killed Jessica posted lot of question to analyze. May it be Media involvement or ways, adopted in judiciary system, or process, followed by investigations agencies, or corrupt politicians or involvement, from us, weakening the roots of India's infrastructure. All of us to either try to save our burning asses or try to make from burning someone else back.

If we talk about Media involvement in Jessica murder case, as depicted in the movie, they were not even concerned about the proceedings of the case. Once the case was closed, then one journalist saw it as a high-profile case and an opportunity to prove his/her skills.

Was this right to check the case once it was closed? Can a journalist be so obsessed with own decision that they ignore everything related to it? Do not journalists go through the News Paper everyday? Was the case picked to get the revenue as there were not much more in kitty?

Does not judiciary think there are lot of changes are required in the trial process? Is not there any committee to audit cases where the judgments were changed at the later point of time?

Even investigations were not to its best. Lot of things were captured(audio which was used later in Jessica's case) but was not shown in court even by investigating lead police official. Why?

There are more questions posed to us. Were not we(Common Man) aware about circumstances of trial but no one reacted until someone like media reacted. Do we always need wake up call? Eye witness became hostile under the power. Do not we people got some instinct which can suggests what to react?

I know all these questions will be pushed back in my mind in few days and I am not sure do I genuinely need answers. I am little confused if I know the answer. Tough to get all answers and tough to take actions for improving methods and processes in corrupt Indian systems and hoping some day things will change and Bollywood directors, writers have to think out of the blue to write such engrossing stories.

PS: Thanks for bearing for such a long time.

Hail Dictator

India is a democratic country. As part of democracy, there are many luxuries which have been assumed as rights. These assumptions are so dominant that differentiating luxury and right becomes difficult to us. For example, to select a leader of a group of 5 people, we vote to choose one. Is it luxury or right? I do not know it. But I have one question; this question keeps me awake for hours.

Would it be possible for us to survive behind invisible bars of slavery? What if someone declares emergency again like Indira Ghandhi did it in 84? How will it (I don’t mean to people lying on road in the blood-pool) impact India? Some dictator or a dictator, would he be able to make us feel prouder on India?

I do not know much but As an Indian, I have lived my whole life in democratic fashion and finding alternative to the democracy is just rubbish thought to me. But on the other hand it feels I have not thought much about country. Did we ever thought; what is this democracy? Is not this more similar to a puppet, who is handled by few illiterate, chauvinistic and corrupt people (I think most of you will not agree with me)?

So Instead of choosing Indian destiny on caste, religion, region, money and reputation, if a intelligent dictator chooses right peoples to march; India may grow fast enough to catch the developed economy. There will be less strikes, dharnas, road blocks, and stone pelting. Person in power will command all the departments.  Functioning of government will be centralized. All the order will pass from one side and executed thoroughly without execution delays and headless errors. It is just the start, there are others thousand more things which will grow, develop, resolve and evolve.

I will close this post without counter arguing. I will continue this in next post.

Saina: Does she have potential to fight with Cricketer?

Saina Nehwal is in news for past 1 month. Besides performing her career best, she has achieved what most of athletes or sport persons could not achieve. Earlier it was heart breaking to see a very small space provided to her Chennai open win. Story of her second tourney win occupied the same amount of space and media kept its promise by giving the same paper on her third win as well. But it was fascinating to see the awareness of people in India.

Besides not getting the deserving coverage, there were thousands of people who reached to receive Miss Champ. It was more appreciable as media did not provoke these applauses; these applauses were from people of India who made Saina a shining star. Here onward media started to unearth her detail most of the media could grab her daily routines and health diets. Government placed her in the elite league by presenting her the biggest sport medal.

But will this be a break for her? There are sports which pop up in the middle of nowhere to claim the limelight but this shine fades in front of Indian cricketing Community.

Saina has done well to reach to the number 2 and most importantly she could take her name to common people. But her success poses few difficult questions to answer.

First question, would she able to survive and digest the limelight? There are 10s of examples where it took time for sport persons to digest the sudden glamour and most of them just slipped into the trap of glamour. Saina is also a human being, so it is okay to slip once but if she is able to stand up after first slipping then it is not difficult for her to ride and enjoy the glamour.

Second question, would her future efforts pose the threat of switching sport dharma? In my opinion in this era it is possible. People are exhausted with the extreme cricket and their exhaustion can prompt them to get rid of loyalty of cricket.

These 2 questions are somehow related to each other and answers depend on Saina's performance. Now if she wants to depict herself as the survivor (From media fame) as well as reformer (new trends of sport), she has to curb all difficulties to follow the same road map that has given her this glory. I do not know future but I can just wish the young lady and expect her to break all the records created in the history of badminton.

Best of luck Saina.

Hope this change will not change

For past few years we all had lost sense of any game other than cricket. We ate, slept, drank and even worked cricket. The whole nation was traumatized with cricket. But, due to some astonishing performances in recent past, we have been recovering from the state of trauma. Let it be either tennis diva mirja or speed master kathik or badminton ace Saina or snooker champion Advani or grand master Vishvanathan, we all talk about them. We all managed to sneak on their activity and get time to discuss about them. Media started showing what Indians are doing in those sports. So it feels refreshing to see media, people, and papers to talk, discuss, analyze, and argument about sports not cricket.

Currently we Indians are witnessing the Hockey world Cup. What a cup it had been for Indian hockey team. Though they were not able to carry forward the initiative taken in the first game against Pakistan, but they have given hopes to Indian hearts. I have seen people, at my work place, talking about S-A-I-N-D-E-E-P, talking about B-H-A-A-R-A-A-T and many other players, many other teams, many other techniques. Though they were neither experts nor players but there was heat in their words, there was passion in their arguments, it is same heat and the same passion which were always reserved for cricket. The way media and Celebes have promoted, people have cheered, we have watched the hockey it seems we have left behind the reservations of cricket and started giving place to other wonderful games in our heart.

It would not be surprising to see more Indians world champs soon in each and every sport. It is not deniable that support any other game with the spirit of cricket is impossible but adoring other games may lead to change of luck for us in other games also which is a very pleasant change for Indian sports.

Road to Where???

Development, progress, and growth these synonyms are more associated with developing countries than developed one. Today developed nations are secure enough to feed their people and take care of their needs, but developing countries are still struggling to feed their people. Apart from all these, developing countries are marching ahead, crushing the needs of their citizens, in the desperate attempt to reduce the gap with developed territories. Have we ever thought what are we loosing to reduce that margin? What have we achieved from these developments? Is our progress mocking the saying "To Gain, first you need to Loose."?

Today I read one article that was covering the story of protest held in Delhi by the farmers to claim their agricultural land from big entrepreneurs. This article took to me 2 year back, when I had discussion with my roomies about the building path of progress. Their thinking was to rule out such demands without delay as they are the road blocker in the path of development. According to them it is not possible to keep 1 billion happy at the same time. To make progress possible, the Indian government has to take such harsh decisions. To achieve the progress developed nation had followed the same trajectory, then why should not we follow the known path?

Now, are the comparisons between developed and developing nation fair enough? When comparing two countries, why do not we look at the infrastructure/resources possessed by each country? For the matter of the fact, USA is the 3rd biggest country in the world, while Indian continental total field area does not even stand in top 5, and the people using that piece of land is in 1:10 ratio. The land available to one person of USA is equal to the land utilized by 100 Indians. Wookay, Why to compare with the extreme, china is also developing faster than India. Then why not compare with china? China and India both overpopulated countries, but the land available for 1 Chinese is equivalent to 2 Indians. So in china too richness of resources, area available is far better than Indian Territory.

Lets just consider the Land requirement for the purpose of development; land is the resource which is the starting point of new set of troubles. Indian Rural population is marching toward cities to find a job, because either there land were snatched or were bought in the lower prices by big guns which is resulting in demolition of agricultural India. As land of agriculture is reducing, it is leading to less grain production, asking for high import of grains, so in few years we will be eating imported floor. Won’t it be a luxury? Poor will loose their jobs. So India will move further, but along with the increasing burden of problems.

Guys, I am not really against the industrialization, but why are we chasing the external dragon, even if our internal dragon may swallow the country soon? Do not we have some moderate path which will not save us from destruction marching us to the construction?

X-factor

In office all of a sudden this discussion was sparkled. We could not finish this debate there, so I thought of sharing it. The question was, are Muslims more Aggressive/Ill tempered in compare to other communities?

I will leave this on you to decide. in our discussion one answer was hanging in between of other two generally acceptable answers which was supporting both sides by stating that Muslims are chauvinistic about religion. So anything stated against there religious believes turns them aggressive.

I was on the side of NO. My thinking says it is all about teaching they have got in their journey of life. For example, In our rural areas, Muslims kids are sent to study in Madrases where center of their studies are narrowed down to teach hating people other than Muslims. Most of the part of their teaching is, "what is bad in others?" which is a negative start of life. If someone other than Muslim would have brain washed in the same way, it would have been the same results. So in whole If someone is kept apart from the world, providing him the knowledge of X-factors only, then the person will get plenty of time to process and understand the X-factors. Any human being can be moulded to become aggressive if situations are contradictory to those X-factors. There are muslims who have learnt with us in the same school where we have learnt. Can we figures out the differences between them and us?

It is true in current scenario "Ismal's modified studies" are posing the threat of extinction to Human being. But these studies are introduced by people who do not want others to know positive of society. Looking at the difference of change seeker's and Orthodox's, there is a need of prophet's reincarnation. He only can lead them to teach and learn the positives of Islam instead of negatives of others. That can bring peace to human breed.

Is this that straight?

The world is under the threat of terror. Now it seems like humanity is hanging just at the edge of cliff, one push and all will be history. But beside all these facets, Indians are facing worst of it. After efforts of decades, we are facing the issues that were faced at the time of separation. Neither the people living across the border took the breath of peace neither we have seen the sun rise in its own color (Sun is always bloody) :(.

I am not keen to give information about the bomb blasts happened in the past, but my real concern is about the trend that is being followed in current blasts. With each blast the terrorist group takes the claim. They give us the cause also. They tell the Indians, what wrong we (Indians) are doing with them. I feel this trend is more scary than the earlier. Why?

As claimed, Indian Mujahiddin is behind all these terror outlets. This terror group sends their verdicts to NEWS channels. (They do not choose government to disclose their letter. may be afraid of government. Perhaps Indian government will act faster). Without even giving the second thought, our media shows these mails as the verdict of god. Our faithful NEWS editors publish each word of the letter without even a slightest modification into it. (If they change the words then they will deceive the readers. is not it?) . Now question comes, what is wrong in all this? Media is perfect in handling their job. They are covering the blast well. They are showing the letters without breaching our RIGHT TO KNOW.

Yesterday when i read the mail published in the paper, My sympathy disappeared for the community. The faith and friendship obsoleted for my friends. But as soon as i got my conscience back i regretted over my stupidest thought.

Master mind is not just triggering the panic but it is blocking the mind too. It is crystal clear, who ever is behind the scene, is not targeting the death toll they are targeting peace of mind. Target is our social harmony. The aim is not to serve their Community, beside that they are planting the bombs in the heart of people to blast humanity. Yes, the target is to invoke next riots. Which may be similar to Mumbay, or may be Gujrat or may become more brutal. This time if something burns then it will not be only bombay, it will not be only delhi, This time Our whole nation will take part in genocide. The whole india will burn in the fire of communal ism, and in provoking this fire our media will also be the accomplice.

Here I am not saying to stop searching the culprits. I am not saying media should stop showing the reports. But something can be controlled to stop helping the terrorist. They are using us for there own purposes. They are not only spreading panic, but with panic they are spreading hate, In which, each body of our media is helping them. I do not know what our government can do for that? But i know one thing that our journalist are not such stupid fellows who can work as puppets to militants. So STOP IT!!!!!!!!
